AYCLIFFE
PHYSIO
CLINIC
BOOMING
Helping you work, rest and play
without pain is the order of the day
for a local physiotherapy practice
which has given thousands of
people their quality of life back as
it continues to grow from strength
to strength.
For more than a decade, Aycliffe
Physiotherapy, based in Langton
Business Centre on Durham Way,
Aycliffe Business Park, has provided
treatment
for
musculoskeletal
problems in order to help clients go
about their everyday life.
Practice manager John Griffiths
said: “When we first started here
nearly 12 years ago we had just the
one treatment room, now we have
three treatment rooms plus a fully
equipped Pilates and rehabilitation
studio.
“A lot of our success is down to
our approach to our clients and the
quality and continuity of the service
we provide.
“Back in 2002 we were the only
physiotherapy practice in the area.
There wasn’t much consumer
orientated business here on the Park
then but for us the location made
absolute sense as it is so easy to get
to and with ample free parking.”
Aycliffe Physiotherapy specialise
in treating problems such as back or
neck pain, arthritis, pulled muscles or
sprains, sports injuries, shoulder pain,
tennis and golfers elbow, repetitive
strain injury, headaches and whiplash
injuries. The services available
include physiotherapy, acupuncture
and Pilates. They run regular Pilates
classes which have proved highly
popular with local people.
They only employ highly-experienced
graduate chartered physiotherapists,
all are HPC (Health Professions
Council) and CSP (Chartered Society
of Physiotherapy) registered. They
are Physiofirst members and are
approved by all health care insurers
including BUPA, AVIVA and AXA.
Aycliffe Physiotherapy has a strong
team of six highly skilled chartered
physiotherapists lead by Clinical
Partner Caroline Griffiths MCSP, who
has 20 years’ experience herself and
together the team has over 100 years
of professional expertise.
John added: “It’s not just about the
clinical treatment, it’s a dedicated
one-to-one session, where the
physiotherapist will find out how the
injury is im pacting on a client’s life and
how best to assist their recovery to fit
in with their lifestyle.
Another big asset the practice has
is being able to get to the root of the
problem quickly.

“We have a very experienced team
here,” said John. “Whatever problem
you may have, our physiotherapists
will probably have seen it before
and this really enables us to apply
treatment quickly and effectively.”
Aycliffe
Physiotherapy
treats
clients from far and wide but they
do see many clients from Newton
Aycliffe and they have enjoyed
longstanding relationships with many
local companies including Gestamp,
Roman and OHTS and with many local
organisations such as the running
club, squash club and Woodham Golf
Club.
John said: “This is a great location
for anyone who needs us. We have
historically kept our prices realistic
by being quite a big practice and
being able to accommodate a higher
volume of clients than most clinics but
without compromising on the quality
of the care we provide.
“For anyone who hasn’t given us a
try yet please come along and see us.
We will be happy to help.”
