Aycliffe Business Park recently hosted an extraordinary event that blended football nostalgia , electrifying entertainment and heartfelt charity : An evening with Liverpool and England legend John Barnes .
This special night was organised to support MISSED A BEAT , a charity committed to funding life-saving defibrillators for local communities .

From playing for Liverpool during their golden years to representing England on the global stage , Barnes offered fans a rare glimpse into his life on and off the pitch .
He paid a heartfelt tribute to former teammate Peter Beardsley , calling him “ the best player I ever shared the pitch with ,” a sentiment that resonated with the crowd .
Barnes also delighted fans with a surprise performance of his famous rap from World in Motion .
The nostalgic throwback had the room buzzing as guests sang along and relived the magic of one of football ’ s most iconic songs .
Entertainment and excitement The night offered more than just stories . Freestyle football world record holder Steve Grey wowed guests with his mesmerising skills , performing on the red carpet and centre stage .
Vocalist Adam Hillyer set the tone with his powerful performances as guests arrived , and later added a musical flourish to the evening .
Newton Aycliffe ’ s very own Andy Lee , also known as Mr . Remedy , brought infectious energy with his DJ set , ensuring the dance floor stayed packed .
