Delegates enjoy latest networking event on business park

Around 60 delegates attended Aycliffe Business Park Community ’ s latest news and networking meeting , held at Planet Leisure in May .

The event was sponsored by Rotary North East – Newton Aycliffe . Rotary is an international organisation , founded in 1905 , with more than 35,000 member clubs worldwide , and 1.2m individual Rotarians . It has a long and celebrated history of helping communities across the world and making a difference to millions of lives .
Their community involvement is wide and far reaching and they are not simply a charity .
Rotary ’ s work includes children ’ s organisations such as schools , choirs , scout groups , youth groups , interview skills , leadership and youth development , technology tournaments and photography competitions .
They get involved in community matters where there is a genuine need for assistance and fundraising now includes a sponsorship plan available to companies and organisations who wish to support the communities where they are based .
Guests at the May event were also treated to a star appearance by the Northern League trophy , chaperoned by Newton Aycliffe FC officials Allan Oliver and Yvonne Wood .
Registrations are now open for ABPC ’ s next event , which has the slightly different start time of 11am at The Work Place , on Friday , July 21 .
Some local hospitality providers , including The Smoke House , will be joining us to provide refreshments , along with a lunch subsidised by ABPC .
The cost of lunch is included in the price of the tickets . And they ’ re available for £ 5 ( Aycliffe Business Park residents ) and £ 15 ( non-residents ).
