Highlight of AWCCI- West Zone Activities in this quarter
Capacity building program for
businesswomen in Herat
AWCCI- West Zone held a seminar for businesswomen’s capacity building in trade affairs such as, busi-
ness license procedures and taxation laws of MOIC and income tax law and obligations with the financial
support of FAO (Food and Agriculture organization). The purpose of this program was to raise the level
of knowledge and awareness of women entrepreneurs so that they can develop and submit their financial
reports on a timely manner and avoiding penalties for taxation and licensing in future.
The training began on Monday October 7, 2019 and ended on October 9, 2019. The opening of training
was held with presence of Mr. Shahidzoi, FAO National Director, Ms. Maryam Jami Ul Ahmadi, Chair of
AWCCI- West Zone, Alhaj Mir Abdul Wahid Hussaini, Chair of large Tax Payers office and they spoke
about the training program. On Oct 9, 2019 the participation certificates were presented in the presence
of Ms. Fayqeh Alizadeh Mostofi, the Director of Department of Finance in Herat. All the expenses and
facilities of this seminar were provided by the FAO and AWCCI-West Zone has been involved in coor-
dinating with relevant bodies and introducing and inviting businesswomen.
