Businesswomen Associations’
sessions in this quarter
Ever since AWCCI got the
approval on 5 percent preference of gov-
ernment contracts to women, AWCCI is
determined to organize women into asso-
ciations based on their business sector so
that they can get and implement the con-
tracts successfully .
9 Sessions on organizing businesswomen into
associations for Clothing, Handicrafts, Jewelry,
Food, Logistic and IT sectors held on third quar-
ter of 2019 at AWCCI office. Participants of these
session included both members and non-members
of AWCCI.
discussion on associations’ bylaw, 10 businesswom-
en were selected as establishing board. Three peo-
ple out of establishing board were elected as board
of directors and three were elected as financial
board. The process of election was transparent and
members were firstly nominated and the ones with
highest number of votes could go to the board. At
the end all women were asked to work hard for
maintaining the core values of the association and
achieve the goals.
The agenda for this sessions were preparing the as-
sociations bylaws and electing the President and
deputies for the association. Based on the agenda,
with the participants’ recommendations and opin-
ions, bylaw for associations were prepared. Besides
