WCCI is recognized for ATHENA Certifi-
cate of Excellence for supporting leadership
development opportunities and initiatives
towards women’s economic empowerment on region-
al platform, SAWDF in partnership with ATHE-
NA Global Leadership Award 2019 at International
Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2019 in Kathmandu,
Nepal. ATHENA Global Leadership Award has come
to Nepal for the very first to recognize women in two
categories, 1) Organization and 2) Entrepreneurs in
SAARC countries. Dr. Laila Afaq, the President of Af-
ghania Sisters Business Center and the board member
of AWCCI - South Zone is also recognized in Entre-
preneurs category and presented Certificate of Excel-
lence for her support towards girls in education and
employment.
