State of Manufacturing

AWB President Kris Johnson delivered the first-ever State of Manufacturing in Washington address from the shopfloor at Hotstart Thermal Management in Spokane Valley .
The address provided a snapshot of the strengths and ongoing challenges facing Washington manufacturers .
“ We need to make it easier , not harder to run a manufacturing business in Washington … Simply put , we need to make it hard not to invest here .” Johnson said .
Following his remarks , Johnson sat down with Hotstart CEO Terry Judge and Serenity Haines , a young graduate of Spokane Community College ’ s hydraulic and pneumatic automation program .
“ I think the difference this is going to make in my life is , it ’ s going to change my path almost 180 .”

Making Washington

In July , AWB launched a monthly email newsletter specifically for the state ’ s manufacturers . Called Making Washington , the newsletter expands AWB ’ s successful newsletter strategy and provides manufacturers with curated , timely and relevant information .
