Emily Randall , D-Bremerton , Substitute Senate Bill 5488 directs the state treasurer to transfer $ 3.25 million per year from the state ’ s general fund to the Tacoma Narrows Toll Bridge Account . The total amount will equal $ 130 million through 2032 . AWB opposed this bill because the bridge project was already paid for with tolls and any available dollars from the operating budget should be used for needed projects that currently don ’ t have a source of funding . SSB 5488 passed the House by a vote of 58-39 and the Senate 28-21 .
