Year 7 PGL trip to
Liddington
Just over a week ago, 105 Year 7 students went
on an activity weekend to a PGL centre in
LIddington, near Swindon.
The aim of the weekend was to do some team and
character building work. It was also an opportunity
for students to face challenges and overcome their
fear by taking part in seven activities that they had
not necessarily done before: Jacob’s ladder, quad
biking, challenge course, raft building, aeroball,
canoeing and zip wire.
It was a great weekend and the students were a
credit to the school. They all participated in
everything and their feedback was very positive.
Thanks to Miss Labreize, Miss Hicks, Miss Davies, Mrs Owen, Miss Heath, Miss Benvenuto,
Miss Chagger, Mrs Bearpark, Miss Webb, Mrs Hallam, Mr Whitehead, Mr Collins, Mr Phelan
and Mr Owen for giving up their weekend and playing a very active part in the success of this
trip.
