THANK YOU
While SAREX22 was a massive undertaking by all the personnel involved, we want to single out and thank LCDR Wryan Webb for, well, for so many things.
He planned this SAREX and coordinated events for 3 different aircraft, personnel from 3 different military branches and 2 countries over several days - all the while tolerating two pesky photographers.
All participants were unanimous that the training was very effective. The lessons learned during the exercise have certainly translated into real-world results as these crews went back to their units and air stations and relayed what they learned to their colleagues, which in turn is utlized in actual rescue operations. SAREX22 was the epitome of the Coast Guard motto, Semper Paratus - Always Ready.
We can't thank LCDR Webb, a gifted photographer himself, enough for his assistance and guidance during this project.
We'd also like to thank commanding officer Capt. Brian McLaughlin, LCDR Scott Woodcock and all of the men and women of USCG Air Station Sitka for being incredible hosts and welcoming us into their home. We are also appreciative to the RCAF's 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron, USCG Air Station Kodiak, and the USAF.
