The Orion Spacecraft successfully completed testing at NASA Glenn Research Center's Plum Brook Station as part of Artemis 1 mission readiness.
NASA invited members of the media, including APJ, to view the Orion spacecraft which will be used for the Artemis 1 Moon mission. It is hoped that flight testing will commence in 2021, but the Covid-19 pandemic has thrown that timeline into question.
The spacecraft successfully completed four months of testing at NASA's Plum Brook Station near Sandusky, Ohio. The capsule recently underwent water drop testing in Langley, Virginia and is scheduled to return to Kennedy Space Center for final assembly.
The NASA Glenn Research Center's Plum Brook Station's Space Environments Complex (SEC) is home to the largest space simulation vacuum and electromagnetic interference chamber in the world.
