The Experimental Aircraft Association's annual gathering is officially known as EAA AirVenture. To the thousands who make the pilgiamage each year, it is simply known as Oshkosh. This year, over 500,000 people attended (a record), many of whom flew in, arriving in over 10,000 aircraft. It's no wonder that the Oshkosh control tower is "the world's busiest" during the show. So much more than just an air show, Oshkosh truly embodies the spirit of aviation. From aviation workshops to flying demonstrations to one-of-a-kind aircraft on display, it is the premier event in the aviation community. It's hard to capture the essense of the Oshkosh experience (we suggest you go if you haven't already!), but we've tried to wrap an entire week of aviation goodness into a few images for your enjoyment.
