last flying season as the age of the aircraft finally began to take its toll and continued flight operations were deemed impractical. XH558 took her final flight on October 28, 2015. Since being grounded, she will join two other Vulcans performing high-speed taxi demonstrations.
Aviation Photojournal was lucky enough to catch Vulcan XH558 in her natural airborne environment about a month before she was grounded permanently. There is something special about capturing an image of something that will never be seen again - and this flight was certainly one we will never forget.
