Airport Profile: LAX
48
LAX traffic covers all of the domestic airlines you would expect, including jetBlue, Delta, American, Southwest, United and more. In addition, carriers from all over the world provide regular service into and out of LAX.
The lineup of colorful tails at the Tom Bradley International Terminal is impressive. It's not unusual to see several A380s lined up in a row.
On the day Aviation Photojournal visited, there were A380s from British Airways, Air France and Emirates lined up next to a Lufthansa 747 and 777s from Aeroflot, EVA Air and Etihad. It's an impressive sight to take in, and all the more enjoyable given the great viewing locations around the airport. While major international airports like New York's JFK have a wide variety of traffic arriving and departing, it does not enjoy the same accessibility for those wishing to take in the view, and certainly not the great weather.
Whether in town for business or pleasure, a stop at LAX should be on any aviation enthusiast's list of must-see places.
AVIATION PHOTOJOURNAL would like to express its sincerest thanks to pilot Paul Cass of Star Helicopters for his expert flying and invaluable assistance.
