As you may have noticed, APJ has developed a close relationship with the US Coast Guard and we're thrilled and proud to once again highlight their professionalism, dedication to mission and steadfastness in the face of any obstacle. Little did we know when we began our cover story that the Coast Guard, and USCG aviation in particular, would take center stage as a series of hurricanes devastated Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, among other places. Once again, the heroic Coast Guard was among the first on each scene executing daring search and rescue missions, providing logistical support and being available and ready for whatever conditions they encountered.
It is fitting then, that this issue's cover story celebrates USCG aviation in all its glory. Many of the pilots and crews depicted in this story were deployed to storm-ravaged areas in support of rescue and recovery operations. We are proud to know each and every one of them. Semper Paratus!
