335 Squadron“ Tigers”
335 Squadron“ Tigers” is one of the Hellenic Air Force’ s most respected and historically important fighter units. Its emblem, the tiger, reflects the strength, confidence, and fighting spirit that define both the squadron and its people. Based at Araxos, the Tigers operate modern F‐16s and are known for their high level of professionalism, discipline, and readiness.
The squadron’ s reputation has been built through decades of demanding training, constant alert duties, and participation in complex national and
international exercises. New pilots arriving at the unit face a challenging learning environment that emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and calm decision‐making under pressure.
Behind every mission stands a dedicated team of technicians who prepare the aircraft each day, often long before sunrise, ensuring that the Tigers remain ready for any task.
Today, 335 Squadron continues to play a central role in Greece’ s air‐defense mission— reliable, highly trained, and carrying a legacy of excellence that stretches back generations.
