Team Dutch Rush Aerobatics is a Dutch civilian aerobatic display team known for high‐energy, smoke‐enhanced performances built around one aircraft and one elite pilot. The team showcases the Sukhoi Su‐26M, registration PH‐SMX, a powerful single‐seat aerobatic aircraft equipped with a 360 hp Vedeneyev M‐14P radial engine. Designed for unlimited‐category aerobatics, the Su‐26 is renowned for its extreme roll rate, high‐G capability, and rugged airframe, making it a favorite in world aerobatic competitions.
Dutch Rush’ s displays combine precision, freestyle aerobatics, and dramatic low‐level maneuvers. The
team emphasizes spectacle and emotion, delivering unforgettable airshow moments at festivals, corporate events, and VIP occasions. The aircraft uses minimal fuel and biodegradable smoke oil, reflecting a commitment to cleaner demonstration flying.
The performances are flown by Frank“ Woody” van Houten, one of Europe’ s most experienced aerobatic pilots, known for his dynamic routines and mastery of advanced gyroscopic maneuvers. Dutch Rush remains the only Dutch aerobatic team with special permission to perform on‐location airshows nationwide.
