Leonardo M-346 Silver Hawk
The Hellenic Air Force’ s Leonardo M-346 Silver Hawk represents the pinnacle of Greece’ s modern pilot‐training capability. Operating from the 120 Air Training Wing in Kalamata, the M‐346 is a state‐of‐the‐art Advanced and Lead‐In Fighter Trainer powered by two Honeywell F124‐GA‐200 turbofans and capable of reaching nearly Mach 0.95. Designed for two crew members, it prepares student pilots for the transition to 4th and 5th generation fighters such as the F‐16, Rafale, and F‐35. Greece is acquiring ten aircraft through
its cooperation with Israel’ s Elbit Systems for the International Flight Training Center, making the country a regional hub for advanced training. The M‐346’ s digital flight controls, embedded tactical simulation, and high‐G performance allow realistic air‐to‐air and air‐to‐ground training. Used worldwide, the Silverhawk Master enables the Hellenic Air Force to train future fighter pilots with cutting‐edge technology and world‐class instruction.
