Hellenic Air Force
Daedalus Demonstration Team
The T‐6A Daedalus Demonstration Team is a key Hellenic Air Force initiative aimed at promoting aviation within the Greek community and boosting Armed Forces morale. Flying the T‐6A Texan II trainer, the team highlights the professionalism and precision of HAF personnel. Each display relies on close teamwork between the demonstration pilot, the Flight and Ground Safety Observing Officer who monitors safety and may halt a maneuver, the narrator officer who explains the routine, and the technical crews responsible for aircraft preparation. Established in 2005 during the first“ Archangel” International Air Show, Daedalus revived Greece’ s aerobatic heritage following teams like Four Aces and Greek Flame. With support from USAF instructors Captain Jeff Stift and Captain Eric McUmper, five pilots from 361 Squadron trained at the 120 Air Training Wing. Majors Nikolaos Chriistopoulos and Nikolaos Malapanis became the first display pilots, debuting at Tanagra on 18 September 2005
