IPHONE CAMERA vs SONY CAMERA
BY: RAQUEL MANDOJANA
IntroductionI took several different photos, with different perspectives on three devices. The iphone
5s, 6s, and a sony camera. I will compare the photos based on their quality. My aim is to look
at the future of technology because it shows the progress of the mobile camera technology
camera. Even though there are only, I predict that the ones in the future will have drastically
changed, possibly to even have the same quality as a traditional camera.
LightNotice how the lighting changes in the different photos. Now, iphone lenses take light
differently than normal cameras. The lighting seems a little brighter, which makes the whole
image seem to be a little washed out. The special focus feature on the camera helps the
lighting to stay natural, helping the overall quality. I think that in future iphones, Apple could add
the special light feature, which would help with the overall photo quality.
ZoomThese photos represent the zoom function. Even though overtime the zoom quality has
progressed on iphones, they still haven’t changed drastically. There is a clear progress, though
with the iphone 7 plus macro lens. The camera has a special macro lens which lets it zoom in,
keeping the quality. With a head start, I believe that in the near future, iphones will have a
better macro lens, that will be able to be similar to cameras.
LandscapeThere isn’t much of a difference between the iphone and Sony camera landscape
pictures. This means that Iphones are pretty good at taking landscape photos. The only main
difference has to do with the lighting effect, as said before. The Sony camera helps the
landscape have a little more definition. I think that soon iphones will have very similar effects.
ConclusionIphone cameras and Sony cameras may have some differences now, but I think that in
the coming decades they will have very similar quality. Just remember that the biggest
difference is that iphones are mobile phones. Just think, mobile phones have developed and
changed a lot in the last 20 years. Now all we can do is imagine what the next 20 years will
bring.
