Vayots Dzor hosts several festivals throughout the year, showcasing local wines, foods, traditions, and activities.
Ecotourism Festival
The villages of Gomk and Martiros hold this early summer festival, initiated in 2016. Visitors can sample and view presentations of traditional foods, crafts, and ecotourism services, and there are an abundance of activities organized for festivalgoers. Festival organizers the Association of Young Biologists and the Jermuk Development Center arrange rock climbing, hiking, and horse riding expeditions inhost villages during the two-day festival.
