Lebanon

• Creation of the Gomidas Chorale (later renamed the Gomidas-Nairi) in 1944.

• Creation of the Vahram Papazian Theater Troupe in 1958.

• Creation of the Purasdan Club in 1972.

• Inauguration of the Antranig-Sevan Center within the Zabel Movsisian Com­plex in 1984.

• Inauguration of the Demirdjian Athletic and Cultural Center in Debbayeh in 1996.

• Inauguration of the AGBU's Nubar Nazarian Complex in Metaileb, near Beirut, in 1998. This complex now houses the Embassy of the Republic of Ar­menia in Lebanon.

Greece

• In 1970, Athens' Ararat Club, subsidized by the AGBU, inaugurated its cultural and athletic center. In January 1998, the center moved to a new location, a build-ing in the suburb of Kokkinia. The center's sports complex was named in honor of Mgrdich Papazian.
