AGBU took charge of Hayuhyats abastaran (Armenian women’s shelter) in Damascus.
AGBU’s Adana chapter took over management of the large rug-making shop that had previously been run by the Lord Mayors’s Relief Fund and Near East Relief.
the AGBU’s Central Committee of the United States sent Vahan Kurkijian to Cilicia and Syria to evaluate the work that had been accomplished with the help of donations from AGBU’s US chapters.

AGBU was transformed into a corporation operating under Swiss law and established its legal center in Lausanne, Switzerland.
AGBU established the Melkonian Educational Institute in Nicosia, Cyprus and Nubarian foundation, which provided scholarships to Armenian students to study in European universities.
AGBU decided to attribute laboratory equipment and an annual subsidy of £3000 from the Melkonian Fund to the University of Yerevan for the advancement of Armenian studies.
