The lights go down... the entire seating arena under the massive football field-sized tent begins to tremble... as the roar of a thunderous volcano billows out of the sound system subwoofers and the massive high definition video wall comes to life! After a few moments, the rumble starts to quiets as the sounds of rain, tropical waterfalls, and exotic wildlife surround the onlookers... transporting them thousands of miles away and dropping them smack dab in the middle of the densest rainforest. Suddenly, jungle drums start to beat as neon-lit, tribal warriors and dancers appear through the dense mist and fog billowing out of the front of the runway. Welcome to the Luli Fama Electric Jungle... and welcome to Miami Swim Week!
Each July, Miami's South Beach transforms into the world epicenter of everything that is swimwear. From exciting and exotic runway shows... to exclusive VIP parties... to a massive industry trade show and global market place where everyone from mom & pop boutique owners, to the buyers from the largest big-box retailers in the world, all jockey to find the hottest, most sought after, and more importantly... the most saleable swimwear and accessory items amongst the vast sea of designers& industry vendors that engulf the massive Miami Convention Center, The Brickell Center, and several other pop-up wholesale markets scattered throughoutthe many high-end, luxury hotel suites and conference rooms in city. In short, Miami Swim Week is massive.
Miami Swim Week started as a small industry-only trade show more than three decades ago with a series of small events that grew up around Miami's annual swimwear convention
