1960's Femme Fatale

Mini Skirt

There's something very timeless about the conservative, yet sexy and form-fitting mini-skirted ensembles of the 1960s. From the screaming Beatles groupies at the onset of the British rock and roll invasion... to the classic Femme Fatale beauties in such TV shows as the Avengers, or the James Bond films... the mini skirt was not only a powerful fashion statement, but it was also one of the first major leaps forward for women being able to express their sexuality through their wardrobe. Prior to the mini skirt, it was almost unheard of for women to show skin or bare their legs in public.

The 60s were definitely a turbulent time around the globe. And although the decade might be a distant memory for some, the fashion styles from that era, including the mini skirt, still can be seen on the runways regularly. It is a look which is universally flattering and agelessly chic, and will almost never go out of style. But all London girls know that.
