KARLA ORTIZ
Our 2022 Cover Model Karla Ortiz is no stranger to the pages of magazines or television screens. She has been modeling and broadcasting professionally since the young teen age of 17. Hailing from the Central American Nation of Costa Rica, she has been a Bona fide Entrepreneur and trailblazer from a very young age. After high school she studied industrial design and graduated with honors from her university. While she was still studying at college, she simultaneously began designing Bikinis and launched her own swimwear company called "Landry Swimwear". It was also during this time when she traveled to present her Industrial Design work at the International Ibiennale Design Conference and Competition where she was awarded for work in Conscious Design. A very prestigious honor and award indeed!
Ortiz has many hobbies and interests... and is extremely passionate about learning languages. So much so, she now speaks five fluently including French, German, Swiss, English, along with her native language of Spanish. She also launched another swimwear company called "Ka.O.Be" which sells and exports her designs throughout Central & South America, along with the United States. She can also regularly be seen in international television commercials and ad campaigns, and is also a recurring on-air personality and contributor on the Latin powerhouse broadcasting network, "Telemundo." The more we got to know Karla, the more we started to ask ourselves, "Is there anything that this girl can't do?"
If all of this wasn't enough to keep her busy, she is also a proud mother of two children and can regularly be seen with them and a car full of their friends picnicking and playing on one of the many nearby local tropical beaches having fun. "I absolutely love nature and beach walks." She explains. "I have a blessed and charmed life and am always trying to pay it forward and help others as I have learned that this is the best contribution a person can make to the world. "
