ON THE COVER
Swimwear Model Krysti Sentz finds refuge from the blistering hot sun under the shady green leaves of a towering Queen Palm near the Jupiter Inlet on the West Coast of South Florida. We congratulate her on being selected for our 2020 Swimwear Issue cover, as well as for making her very first appearance in our magazine. Originally from the mid Michigan town of Midland, Sentz now calls sunny south Florida home. You can see the rest of her swimwear pictorial feature beginning on page 26.

Spring is finally upon us, to which I say a resounding and joyful, "YAY!" It has been a long and dreary winter that has been filled with a bunch of personal and business related challenges for this humble editor. For starters, I was in a horrendous car accident that completely destroyed my beautiful Volvo SUV and had my hand swelling up to the size of an official NBA basketball. EEeek! I would have preferred that my first ever ride in an ambulance was for some type of charity function or a holiday parade, as opposed to being t-boned, and then face-slapped by an over-zealous air bag. Boy that really stings! The sirens definitely sound different when you are riding on the inside of the ambulance. And just when the swelling started to go down and the coast seemed to be clear, my doctor discovered that I had a nasty melanoma growing on the inside of my ear. Now I am not usually one to brag about my excesses in life, but my melanoma was so badass that it took not one... not two... but SIX dastardly surgeries to eradicate and fix. There's nothing like having the whole side of your face sliced open and then stitched back together to resemble a long stretch of railroad tracks! I almost went into my attic to retrieve my childhood train set to see if that little red caboose was a perfect fit. Maybe next time. At least I can say that I have joined the #CANCERFREE club. It is definitely a good club to be in!
During the cold and blustery nights of the past several wintery weeks, our team of fashion elves have been quietly assembling our 2020 Swimwear issue like a hive full of busy bees. We traveled the world this past year to bring you the best swimwear feature possible. The schedules were hectic and some of the locations posed a laundry list of challenges, but in the end we are very proud of the work we accomplished. I want to send a special congratulations to our 2020 Swimwear cover girl, Krysti Sentz from Midland, Michigan. There was a lot of competition this year... so many amazing photos to choose from. But as we started to narrow down the last dozen or so potential photos being considered for the cover, Krysti's photo just seemed to nail it and it was a unanimous decision by the team. I hope you will enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together for our readers. Here's to sunshine and warm beaches everywhere... and may we all have a great 2020!
Cheers and Ciao!
