Great Yorkshire AV Day

On Sunday 17th November 2013 I had the privilege of attending my first RPS
Great Yorkshire AV Day held at the National Media Museum in Bradford
having recently joined the Leeds AV Group only two weeks before. At the
time of attending the event I had not yet attempted my first sequence and so
the timing was perfect, affording me the opportunity to learn more about AV,
see what effects were possible to achieve in 'PicturesToExe' and become
inspired by those more experienced to generate ideas of my own. The day
achieved all of these things!
I have to say that I have found everyone I have met in AV circles
welcoming and enthusiastic and very keen to share their knowledge freely
with beginners and newcomers like me. I was warmly welcomed in Bradford
for example by Mary and Janet on the door and found everyone I came into
contact with both chatty and encouraging. Bryan Stubbs opened the event
and introduced Keith Scott, Chair of RPS AV Group whose job it was to
moderate the morning session. The session involved the showing of a
number of member sequences, the purpose being to enable authors to
receive feedback on work which could be either completed sequences or
work in progress. The presentations that followed covered a truly diverse
range of subjects namely:
