Melbourne Camera Club - Show and Tell

Best wishes for the New Year, the
weather is warm and getting hotter here
but more importantly we are having a
good lot of rain each month. No body
complains about any amount of rain now
after years of drought. We all went
around the water falls and dams last
weekend after a couple of days heavy
rain just to see them thundering and
overflowing down the spill ways.
Monday 29th November we had our
annual AV challenge with the theme this
year of ‘Tell us a story’. Eight entires were shown:
'A Day in Alexandria' by Ray Huntley; 'Tell me a Story' by John Spring;
'The Year of the Cats' by Phil Marley; 'Tasmania in September' by Charles
Kosina; 'Sunrise' by Mal McKay; 'A Red in a Bottle' by Raelene Marshall;
'Discovering Mr Ricketts' by Barb Butler; 'The Sea, Forest & Creeks' by
Jean-Claude Rowland and 'The Survivors' by Ron Davies (UK) introduced
and presented by Barb Butler.
All our Audio Visual 5th Monday Competitions are ‘No Rules’, show and
tell more than competitions. Hence we have decided to change the name to
'5th Monday No Rules Audio Visuals – Show & Tell' as this better describes
what actually happens. The No Rules was originally very controversial,
however it has proved to be exactly the opposite and is seen to encourage
anybody to have a go with what ever AV they can ‘show & tell’ with.
