AV News 177 - August 2009 Originally we put our comments as a file on the memory medium before sending it on, but it was felt that making the foregoing viewers' comments available to new viewers would prejudice the opinions of these. At the end of a season's cycle, we then collate everyone's comments on each of our sequences and pass them to all. Some might think that this is the best way to start a fight but, so far, no poison pen letters and we are all pleased with and interested in the remarks. I, for one, have already re-made one sequence to accommodate (some) of these comments. After all, when we receive them, we can all shout "Rubbish!" to all and sundry in the house or we can nod sagely and bask in the transient glory of muted praise. The pleasure I think we have all enjoyed in the year we have been running is unquestionable. There is great anticipation of a new sequence coming into the house and my impression from the comments of all so far is that we are fascinated by the variety of styles and "AV habits" we are being introduced to. There is none of the apprehension one might feel at entering major Festivals or competitions against the best in the world and yet ѡ
