As technology became more affordable an interest in image and sound
quality made the presentations more dynamic. The old Hanimex was
replaced, by a Kodak Carrousel, the cassette player by a midi system - and
eventually a CD system. With the development of the computer, I began
developing the new technology and in 1997 projected live images from Mars
as part of a presentation. However the affordable projector technology was
poor and the computers did not have enough RAM and graphics memory to
make the system acceptable. It was four years later when the technology
began to catch up with the needs of the presenter and the technology has
developed ever since. Utilizing image manipulation and sound editing
software it was possible to prepare high quality presentations in PowerPoint
