This would allow Clip 4 Overlay to play over the other clips i.e. video on video.
This could allow two videos to be played at the same time, perhaps one as a
cameo by using masks or with transparency adjustment permitting one to show
through the other. The
green line at the bottom of
the
timeline
is
a
'soundtrack' inserted from
an external source i.e. not
sound recorded with the
original videos. Right click
on the green 'Sound
Track' and a small control
box opens permitting
adjustment to volume
ranging from zero to
200%, fade in, fade out or
mute. Opening or importing video clips
automatically creates a 'Video Layer' for
each clip within the layers palette. This
allows processing of each clip with its own
masks, filters, and effects in the same way
as editing still images. Video layers may
have adjustment layers applied, and layers
can also be converted to 'smart objects'
which allow adjustments made to those
layers to be edited or undone even after the
master .psd file has been saved, closed, and
re-opened. It may surprise some that whilst
this is video editing the master file is still
named as .psd (Photoshop Document). The
picture on the right is of the 'Layers' palette,
it clearly shows the four video clip layers, the
bottom three layers are all in the video group
whilst the top layer is outside of the group,
indicated here by its alignment which is
slightly left of the others. Clip 1 is the bottom
