AV News 193 - August 2013 As a vice-chairman of WAVES she was a guiding light in helping to formulate a programme that would interest, enthuse and encourage members of whatever level of expertise. Many of her sequences were based on humorous themes or with a funny twist at the end (known locally as ‘Valerieisms’) and for which she'll be fondly remembered. Valerie was a unique personality who has left us with an amazing legacy, she was a truly lovely lady. Her cremation service took place at Semington Crematorium,Wiltshire at 1p.m. on Thursday 9th May 2013 attended by representatives of many photographic organizations. Margaret Gray It was a great shock to hear of the sudden death of Margaret Gray, wife of Gordon. Margaret was tragically killed in a traffic accident, near to their home in Ballycastle, Ireland on Monday 27th May. Margaret and Gordon offered hospitality to many judges and lecturers over the years who were attending RPS and NIPA events in Ireland. Her thanksgiving service was held on Friday 31st May in Ballycastle. Our deepest condolences to Gordon on his sad loss.
