Jill was the first to be able to give one of the units a test run on some of her sequences and was really impressed by the quality of the sound reproduction, even on her 'Colour Thief' sequence - one that in the past has been known to 'rattle' some prestigious loudspeakers. She felt that the sound quality was excellent giving a good reproduction of the music and voice over. The various sounds were clearly separated and audible in all her sequences, something that doesn't always happen on 'normal' camera club setups. John, having been the Service Manager of a company that manufactured high powered sound systems was more than a little sceptical. He had supposed that because of their extremely small size and with a published bass 'cut off frequency' of 150hz, the units would have no rounded bass and therefore sound 'tinny' - more akin to listening to just the separate 'tweeter' unit within a multi - speaker system. How wrong he was!! He too was astonished at the quality of the sound reproduction and the sheer volume that this tiny unit was able to produce. After trying the speaker at home we wanted to hear how it would perform in a larger room and decided to take it along to our own camera clubs. Page 34
