I was delighted to learn
that I had won the Pretoria
AV Competition in South
Africa.
The idea for this AV
came from my first visit to
the Island of Skokholm
(pronounced Skokum),
which is a small island 2.5
miles
off
the
Pembrokeshire coast.
It is only 250 acres in size but it is an important breeding site for many seabirds
such as Puffins, Manx Shearwaters, Guillemots, Razorbills and Black-backed
Gulls. Grey seals are also found along the shoreline and wild flowers cover
the island during the summer months.
I have a great interest in wildlife a
