So my advice to those on the SPF lists is PLEASE charge a sensible amount.
If you don’t you are robbing yourself and you are making it difficult for the next
visitor who wants to charge his/her proper expenses. My plea to Clubs is to
look at the distance your lecturer has come and, if the amount requested is
inadequate, PLEASE insist on paying him/her not less than 30 pence per
mile. If clubs now stop inviting me, I will understand!

This is calculated on 97.5p per litre petrol and 103.4 diesel – we all know
what we are paying today! Furthermore, the cost of running a used car is
about 25% greater than running a new car.
