There were a number of instances where we had to write these in child-friendly
terms because some of the entries were class projects from primary schools
and language used in appraisals directed at adults would have gone over their
heads. The youngest entrant was 8 years old!!!
So, what do the BIAFF Star ratings mean?
One Star:- A film that shows little sign of care, planning or preparation. It
might be trivial in content or fail to deliver its objectives. Very few such films
would be expected in the IAC competition.
