REDROW HOME AUTUMN WINTER 2013
FEATURE
Help to Buy scheme
Available on new homes priced at up to £600,000, the Government backed Help to Buy scheme provides a welcome boost to your buying power. Launched in April, it’s already helped thousands of people across England to buy a brand new home – for less. By offering you the chance to take out an equity loan for up to a fifth of the property’s value, it increases your purchase capacity, potentially enabling you to buy somewhere bigger than you may otherwise have been able to. Unlike previous help schemes, Help to Buy isn’t just for first time buyers but can be used by all purchasers. So if you’re a second stepper, growing family or starting over you could benefit from the valuable help. If you opt to purchase a brand new Redrow Home with Help to Buy you will typically need to raise a 5% deposit and secure a mortgage for 75% of the property’s full value. The remaining 20% share is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years and can be repaid when you have more funds available or when you resell. Because you only need a 5% deposit, Help to Buy is ideal not only if you’re a first time buyer without substantial savings but also if you bought when house prices were at their peak and perhaps don’t have as much equity in your current home as you need. Having a property to sell doesn’t have to be a barrier to buying somewhere new – we can help you sell up, move out and into a brand new Redrow Home quickly and simply, taking care of all the paperwork and even paying all your estate agents’ fees. Whether you’re looking for a larger property to accommodate your growing family or want somewhere smaller and more manageable now that the children have moved out, you could benefit from our Mastermove service. It’s designed to take the hassle out of selling an existing house at market value in just a few easy steps. First we’ll arrange to have your property valued and agree a selling price with you. Then we will liaise with one of our tried and trusted local estate agents to market the property on your behalf, keeping in regular contact with all parties to ensure the property sells as quickly as possible. We will even pay all the estate agent’s fees when the deal is complete. All it takes is a small registration fee, which Redrow will refund upon completion. You could even use Mastermove to get yourself to the point of being ‘sold subject to contract’ and then go on to use Help to Buy to purchase a brand new Redrow home. We can put you in touch with our recommended New Build Mortgage Specialist to advise you of the options.

HELPING YOU BUY A BRAND NEW HOME
Once you’ve set your heart on moving to a brand new Redrow Home we can help make that dream a reality with a range of tailored incentives.
There’s the potential to save tens of thousands of pounds off the initial purchase price thanks to Help to Buy, the Government backed scheme which makes home ownership easier to afford with the aid of an equity loan. Or, if you have a house to sell, you could achieve full market value for it via our Mastermove service. In some instances you may even be able to combine the two.
