Shangri La ' s Le Touessrok ' s proximity to the sea is one of the most immediately striking things about the resort, which is built in a white-washed, almost Mediterranean style but with Mauritian roofs and interiors. The resort is built on the mainland and on the nearby Frangipani Island, which is connected by a spectacular wooden bridge. In the Hibiscus and Coral wings, accommodation is light and airy with views of the sea. There is an outstanding choice of restaurants, land sports and water sports as well as access to a private island where lunches are served. There are excellent facilities for children and inter-connecting rooms, but the atmosphere of the resort is ideal for couples too.
