WCFE Graduation 2018 was a stunning affair where hundreds of graduates received their certificates to thunderous applause in the WIT Arena. All were united under a banner of success and achievement. A year of academic excellence.
Students were encouraged by all speakers on the night to reach for the stars, to rise to every challenge, to succeed and rise again. Speakers outlined personal experience, words of encouragement, mottos to live by and an overall ebullient energy and optimism in their speeches.
Top table speakers included; Mr. Kevin Lewis CE of WWETB, Cllr. John O'Leary, Deputy Mayor of Waterford City and County, Mrs. Kathryn Kiely, President of Waterford Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Enda O'Doherty, Inspirational speaker and endurance athlete, past students Emma Fraher- Power and Brian Cuddihy and members of the WCFE Board of Management.
WCFE has seen an increase in its enrolment numbers again this year, baulking the national trend. It is also launching a record number of new courses next year, seven in total, and is also in the top 10 of Further Education colleges in the country. WCFE continues to expand and meet the challenges of the evolving educational landscape.
