ALLY COHEN from 4 A KID discusses the different forms and importance of child safety
Child safety is wording used commonly across the globe; however in South
Africa it still seems to be vaguely important and less spoken about. With
thousands of child deaths, abductions and accidents caused every year, we
as parents need to take more responsibility to protect our children. We need
to rise up and take action to ensure we have done everything to keep our
children safe at all times. Luckily in this day and era, there are many products
on the market t assist us in this goal,
and as owners of a child safety
company, we have those products
to make your life as parents much
easier.
There are numerous hot
spots to be weary and cautionate
about. These are water safety, on
the go safety, car safety, home
safety and outdoor safety.
In terms of water safety,
too often, fire fighters hear people
say, “It was just a few seconds.”
Unfortunately, just a few seconds is
all it takes for a child to drown. Here
are a few tips to remember: Use
an approved barrier to separate
the pool from the house, have lifesaving devices near the pool, such
as a pole/hook, or flotation device,
keep large objects such as tables,
chairs, toys, and ladders away from
pool fences and always have a
“designated child watcher”
