MUA is a regional financial services company committed to providing innovative insurance and financial solutions for communities in Mauritius, across East Africa and the Indian Ocean. Although its primary focus is on general and life insurance cover, its subsidiaries also offer a variety of specialised services and solutions to corporate and individual clients in the fields of pension, investment, and savings.
MUA’ s home market of Mauritius remains strategic. They have a 22.4 % market share for general insurance and an 15.5 % market share for life insurance. Present in East Africa since 2014, we have operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, as well as the Seychelles.
MUA is committed to driving innovation and digitalisation, launching the first e-commerce insurance platform in Mauritius in 2013, followed by a Health Client Portal in 2016, and more recent innovations such as Health by MUA and Drive-Thru Claims.
