Although we have transformed the magazine
in the past twelve months, we have always
maintained that this is a magazine written
and produced by people on the spectrum, for
people on the spectrum.
This edition is a celebration of all the diverse
talent out there, sharing their lives with us on
a daily basis via blogs.
Going forward of course we would love to
introduce new and exciting blogs to our
readership, and excitingly we’re already
planning a creative writing special for
early next year. This will be crammed full
of short stories, poetry and essays from
people on the spectrum. I’m very much
looking forward to compiling this very
soon!
Blogging in this community is a truly special
experience because there is just so much
support. From youtube Vlogs, Vines, Tumblr,
to plain old traditional Wordpress, we as a
community have so much to say, and a
wealth of experiences to share.
ASDigest began its life as a digest. Just that. A
periodical condensing the best of the autism
community in one easily downloadable
magazine, yes we have evolved into writing
mostly original articles but from time to time
we love to celebrate the best and brightest of
what’s out there on the internet.
If you are sitting at home and reading this
thinking “I can do that!” then please do
get in touch with me, I would love to hear
from you. Please email me at
[email protected]. Your work could be
featured in our upcoming magazines.
I started out my career in journalism
blogging. I soon became hooked and knew
that I had something special to share. We
have for this edition carefully selected from
our favourite blogs from the thousands of
blogs out there. These are blogs that we read
weekly – and I’m delighted to thank each and
every one of our contributors for allowing us
to present their work to our readership.
Until then, enjoy this edition!

In this edition we have posts from Cynthia
Kim, Alexandra Forshaw, Sue Fitzpatrick, and
James Wilson to name but a few.
