Autism Parenting Advice with your son ’ s geometry issues can be challenging , let me assure you that there is life after geometry . As a 14-year-old , I loved algebra and absolutely HATED geometry . It just made no sense to me at all . Yet , after I survived geometry , I managed to obtain a PhD and no one has ever asked me a geometry question in real life !
Your son is working against a unique set of circumstances . His autism may impact his anxiety . In addition , his combination of poor vision and cerebral palsy may make fine motor coordination when plotting data on graphs extremely difficult .
Do you think his teachers would accommodate his challenges by allowing him to give verbal responses to geometry questions without doing the graphing ? This could work well if he can demonstrate that he does understand the graphing .
