This report summarizes findings from three parent surveys designed to understand the challenges and needs of families in Pennsylvania who have children, teenagers, or adults with profound autism.
These surveys sought to gather valuable insights directly from caregivers to inform improvements in services, policies, and programs. Each survey focused on the unique challenges faced by autistic people at different life stages, exploring daily struggles, concerns for the future, satisfaction with existing services, and barriers to accessing support.
By amplifying the voices of these parents, we aim to highlight critical areas where interventions, resources, and advocacy efforts can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with profound autism and their families.
