The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present this very special performance of DISNEY’S THE LION KING.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is committed to making theater accessible to children and adults on the autism spectrum, and their families. To create an sensory-friendly setting, the shows are performed in a friendly, supportive environment for an audience of families and friends with children or adults who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or other sensitivity. Slight adjustments to the production will include reduction of any jarring sounds or strobe lights focused into the audience. In the theater lobby there will be staffed quiet and play areas, if anyone should need to leave their seats during the performance. Finally, specially trained volunteers will work the show to provide audience support.

For these special Broadway performances, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust purchases every seat in the theater for sale at discount prices exclusively to families, groups, or schools, whose members include individuals on the autism spectrum, or individuals who may require the features of a sensory-friendly performance.
