Q. Please tell me about his strengths.
Steven is very focused on his work. When he is given a task, he gives his all until the task is finished. His work is very consistent, always spot on. He handles criticism and guidance fairly well, as long as instructions are clear. He knows for the most part what he can and can not handle, and will ask questions if he is unsure of something. Once he got to know the people in the office, we learned how personable he is. He is very open to learning new things, and will take on additional tasks as long as he is able to complete the other assignments in his queue.
Q. Please talk about how your office interactions or environment are different since he's arrived.
I definitely feel there is a greater awareness in our office in how we all interact with each other. Many of us, including the managers that work with Steven are much more cognizant of how they communicate with people in general, and have learned a lot about their leadership skills. We all have learned about our strengths and weaknesses in terms of workig with people, and also how well we adapt to new people. In general though, Steven has brought a level of positivity, excitement and appreciation for the work he does in our department. It has certainly rubbed off. Steven performs many of the tasks such as filing, and data entry, and posting positions on the boards around the building that are typical of support staff in our department. In addition, his past employment experience and education has been a welcome addition. He has attended software training and has been instrumental in assisting us with transitioning from one program to another.
