Lifesharing families meet the physical, medical, emotional, and social needs of those being served while providing a family that supports full access and integration into the community, including holidays, activities, events, employment, volunteering, and more. All are supported to have goals, dream dreams, make plans, and live an everyday life. Participants and the families that welcome them benefit from the shared trust, friendship and experiences that all add up to enhanced living.

Through Lifesharing, people develop profound relationships based on mutual needs, respect, and love. Having a place to go to is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is a wonderful life!

Historically, Lifesharing households had participants who had no biological relationship to the home provider. However, as of July 2017, biological family members are eligible for the program and the stipend for care that it provides. No more than two individuals with DD/A live in any one home at the same time.
