Yolanda Bingham , is a business coach who helps women who struggle to find their confidence . She helps them to exceed abundantly at starting and running their own business . She is the single mom of Ranay ( 13 ) and Sandra ( 6 ). Yolanda became a single mom from becoming a widow after 8 years of marriage . During that time , her children were 8 years old and 4 months .
She is extremely proud of the fact that even through the difficult times they have faced , they have become stronger than what they thought they were . She states that being able to see her children smile and laugh after a difficult time , and becoming stronger , is what makes her family special .
When asked about how her life changed after becoming a mother , Yolanda responded , " Well truth be told I was selfish , I didn ' t understand the concept of loving another human being more than I loved myself . It has taught me how to prioritize . Being that I am a single mother I have to make sure that my girls get the best of me , because I am doing double duty . So good cop , bad cop that all falls on me . So learning to find the balance has help me ."
Their favorite things to do as a family is going on random road trips and learning new things . They also enjoy movie times together .
There is no manual on how to be a mother , what to do and not to do . We learn as we go along . Yolanda states that " I don ' t think that anyone has ever answered the question " what do you want to be when you grow up ?" That their answer was I want to be a single mother . That is just the hand that we were dealt , now it is what we choose to do with those cards now ."
She wants mothers to know that you can still achieve your dreams . Just because you are a mother , doesn ' t mean , you have to throw your dreams away . She also advises new moms to schedule time for themselves . Take time to do some of the things that are important to you .
