The homeowner wanted a classic, lighter feminine feel to the fireplace lounge room and the first project was to replace the heavy stone fireplace. Kathy selected a traditional stone mantel and hearth detailed with soft beveled edges which provides an old world feel. The Authentic Home Dove Grey paint color was custom made into a stain and an opal metallic finish paint was applied for the final phase to give the fireplace a unique, translucent sheen.
